Verification closer to the point of work

Check the medicine where it actually enters the workflow

Infokowal moves verification away from a fixed workstation to goods receipt, the store, pharmacy or ward. Staff see the result immediately on the device while data reaches AMMS without being re-entered.

For the hospital pharmacy

An immediate result beside the medicine pack

Pharmacists can verify medicines at goods receipt or dispensing using a smartphone camera or an optional barcode reader.

  • Positive or negative result displayed immediately
  • Information about pack status, withdrawal or cancellation
  • Cashier mode for efficient processing of consecutive packs

For management and operations

Fewer manual steps and a shorter information path

An automated data flow reduces the need to work at a fixed computer and manually transfer verification results into the hospital system.

  • Data automatically available in AMMS
  • Verification available across multiple hospital locations
  • Online and offline work without stopping the process

Four clear steps

From sign-in to current data in AMMS

Staff complete the operation on a mobile device without leaving the location where the medicine is handled.

  1. 01

    Authenticate the user

Staff sign in with an NFC tag and PIN, linking the operation to an authorised user.

  2. 02

    Scan the pack

The smartphone camera or optional reader captures the medicine pack’s 1D or 2D code.

  3. 03

    Receive the PLMVS result

Through AMMS, the device supports communication with PLMVS/ESPL and displays the verification result.

  4. 04

    Synchronise the data

The result is sent to AMMS. If the network is unavailable, data remains buffered and is transferred when connectivity returns.

Product capabilities

One mobile tool for the complete verification workflow

Infokowal supports each stage of work — from identifying the user and pack to handling the result and recording information in the hospital system.

PLMVS and ESPL

Support for checking medicine authenticity and reading the verification result.

1D and 2D scanning

Use a smartphone camera or an optional ergonomic barcode reader.

Pack status

Information about verification, withdrawal, cancellation or another pack status.

AMMS integration

Automated data transfer to the Pharmacy module and cooperating areas of the system.

Online and offline operation

Buffer operations without network access and synchronise after connectivity returns.

Cashier mode

The phone can remain on its stand while the user moves consecutive packs over it.

A different daily workflow

Verification does not need to remain tied to one workstation

Fixed-station process

  • Returning to a computer or scanner without a display
  • No result at the actual goods-receipt location
  • Manual transfer of information between tools
  • Longer handling when the result is not correct

Process with Infokowal

  • Verification directly beside the medicine
  • Immediate feedback on the device screen
  • Automated data transfer to AMMS
  • Continued work without continuous Wi-Fi access

Access and connectivity

Mobility with user control and continuity of work

Infokowal combines staff authentication, flexible connectivity options and local data buffering. The configuration is tailored to the organisation’s infrastructure.

NFC and PIN

Staff sign-in supports control over access to operations performed on the device.

Offline buffer

A temporary connection loss does not require stopping work or losing prepared data.

Optional GSM and VPN

The device can use a SIM card and VPN connection when this option is included in the implementation.

Automatic updates

The update mechanism helps keep the software on a current version.
